Dr. Lewis

Dr. Lewis was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and raised in the Tampa Bay Area. She completed both her undergraduate studies and veterinary degree at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), graduating in 2009. Following veterinary school, she pursued a rotating clinical internship in small animal surgery, internal medicine/cardiology, neurology, and emergency and critical care at California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group in Los Angeles, now known as VCA West Los Angeles.

After her internship, Dr. Lewis remained in Los Angeles for several years, where she practiced primarily emergency and critical care medicine. She later returned to the Tampa Bay Area, bringing extensive experience in high-intensity, specialty-level care with her. Her professional interests include emergency surgery, metabolic emergencies, and fluid therapy.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time at the beach or pool and traveling back to the West Coast to snowboard.
