Emily grew up around animals, and her mom worked with animals practically her whole life, so it was only natural for Emily to follow in her footsteps. She was also involved in 4H and FFA before entering the veterinary field. One of her favorite things about. working at the practice is getting to know all the animals and their personalities, and helping them and their owners feel better than when they walked in.

Emily has two rescue dogs, a Swiss Shepherd/American Bulldog mix named Shaggydog and a German Shepherd mix named BG. She also has a cat called…The Cat. Shaggy was raised from just two weeks old and has a random bald spot for no reason, whereas BG has unlimited fur.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys drawing and painting, hiking, writing, playing guitar, photography, and reading.
